Analogue Productions’ Blue Note and Nat “King” Cole Reissues WIN A Positive Feedback 2010 Brutus Award!

“…if you haven’t picked up every one of the Blue Note and Nat King Cole reissues from Chad Kassem and company at Acoustic Sounds, you’re really missing out!” – David W. Robinson, Positive Feedback, Issue 52

Duke Jordan established his credentials as pianist during 1947-48 when he was Charlie Parker’s pianist. His composing skills did not emerge until the arrival of hard bop in the mid fifties. Flight To Jordan from August 4, 1960 was his first full album as a leader and features the distinctive frontline of Stanley Turrentine and Dizzy Reece.

Duke Jordan, piano

Dizzy Reece, trumpet

Art Taylor, drums

Stanley Turrentine, sax (tenor)
